Tim Thomas Sets All-Time Record

Tim Thomas' 2011 save percentage has set an all-time record for single season save percentage, the final number ends up being .9381. Tim's All-Time record sits just above Dominik Hasek's 99 season of .9366 and Tim Thomas' Vezina Trophy season of 2009 which was .9327.

When asked about the record Thomas responded,
"Yeah I could have not played this weekend... If I'm gonna get it, I'm gonna earn it."
Congratulations to Tim Thomas on his great season. There's no one that would've thought Timmy could come through at 34 and 36 years old to put up these unbelievable seasons. After being drafted in the 9th round of the 1994 Draft, Tim Thomas would play everywhere from Providence RI to Finland before finally getting brought up for good in 2005. There's no doubt that Thomas will win his 2nd Vezina Trophy this year and at that point he'll start getting mentioned with some of the best goaltenders of all time.

Now it's time for the Playoffs.
