Patriots Plan Release Of Veteran Safety James Sanders.
Sanders' agent was told today that New England plans on releasing the 27 year old starting Safety.
Drafted in the 4th round of the 2005 NFL Draft, James Sanders would go on to be an extremely solid Safety. Sanders will never be a Pro-Bowler, but at the end of the day you'd never complain about him being back there. He was the elder statesman in a secondary now filled with serious youth. In 6 seasons Sanders started 50 games at both the free and strong safety spots. Big Game James played along side Bruschi, Vrabel, Seymour, Law, Harrison, Samuel... all of course have moved on as well.
Good luck James, I look forward to seeing you play against New England... just not in a New York uniform.
